Our Church's History
Serving Gonzales Since 1957
Memorial Heights Baptist Church was organized in 1957 after beginning as a mission of First Baptist Church of Gonzales. The church was formed with 105 charter members and has continued to serve the Gonzales community through worship, Bible teaching, fellowship, and ministry.
Over the years, Memorial Heights has grown through the faithful service of pastors, members, and volunteers. The church expanded its facilities, developed educational and fellowship spaces, and later established Grace Christian Academy as a ministry of the church.
While many people, buildings, and ministries have shaped the history of Memorial Heights Baptist Church, the church’s purpose remains centered on Christ and the faithful teaching of God’s Word.
Today, Memorial Heights continues to welcome individuals and families who desire to worship, grow in faith, and be part of a church family in Gonzales, Texas.
